[GUIDELINE] Language in Guild communication

Postby Spryte » 30 Mar 2008, 23:16

We expect communication within the guild to be in English, and to be mature, adult communication. As our guild is for mature players, we don't expect guild members to moderate their language for younger ears, but we do expect them to be considerate about anything that might offend others.

Swearing: While the odd swear word occurs in adult conversation, extensive swearing is likely to offend someone. Please don't.

Text-speak: Txt-spk, etc, has their place - when you need to say something quickly in a fight, for example, but in general, please type in normal english. Abbreviating words excessively can be annoying, and its also very hard for any non-native English speakers in the guild to follow.

Discriminatory Language: Racist, sexist, homophobic, or other discriminatory language is extremely likely to offend someone. It's just not acceptable.
