[POLICY] Guild Recruitment

Postby Spryte » 30 Mar 2008, 19:29

Official recruitment policy as of 15th Dec 2007.
Feedback still welcome, please post in General Discussion forum

Who we are looking for

Mature, sensible players who have read the Equilibrium Statement of Principles, and actively want to be in a guild that embodies those.

Of a suitable level to join in with guild activities

The latter point is a practicality, and not necessarily a showstopper.

Recruitment Process
  • Prospective members must be recommended by a full member of Equilibrium. If you want to join, find a full member of the guild, and spend some time hunting/playing alongside them. If you can't find someone.. drop an application on our forums telling us a bit about you, how you think you'd fit into our guild, and saying when you're online, and someone will try and hook up with you.
  • Having done both of these, a Council member of Equilibrium will have a chat with you, just to make sure you understand and agree with what we're trying to do with the guild.
If all this goes OK, you'll be invited to the guild and set to rank Apprentice.

Promotion from Apprentice

Members will normally spend 10 days as an Apprentice. To be promoted to full member you must..
  • Have been active during your Apprentice period, and taken part in activities with other guild members
  • Have registered on the forums, and posted an Introduction
  • Be accepted as a full member by a vote of guild Council members and above. All full members will have the chance to give input on your membership, and the Council will represent that input in their vote
If you are less active, or we feel you aren't quite getting the "Equilibrium way" the Council may decide to leave you as an Apprentice a bit longer. If it's clear that you're not working out as a member during this period - we'll talk to you... but reserve the right of last resort to decide you are not Equilibrium material.

After that is complete, you will be promoted to Initiate... a full member of the guild Equilibrium.
